VEGANS REJOICE! EQ LEADS THE WAY WITH A PLANT-BASED MEAT ALTERNATIVE BEYOND BURGER®
Malaysian Foodie – A flavourful surprise awaits those who try out Étoile Bistro’s latest introduction, the Étoile Beyond Burger®, launching on 3 June 2021. This plant-based meatless burger is a collaboration with the Los Angeles-based meat substitute brand Beyond Meat® and is a fresh take to the Malaysian food scene, propelling EQ and the food & beverage industry into a more health conscious and sustainable outlook.
The French word Étoile means “star” and so this newest addition to the menu honours that with starshaped buns. The juicy meatless patty is topped with crisp lettuce and tomatoes. It will be available at 11.30AM daily for takeaway and delivery and is priced at RM42. Hand-cut fries, avocados, portobello mushrooms and salsa are available as add-ons. The patty is 100% vegan and plant-based with no soy or gluten and contains 35% less saturated fat than a 113g patty of 80/20 ground beef.

For starters, dig into crowd-pleasing classics such as the Urap Pucuk Manis dan Taugeh, Kerabu Limau Bali, Udang Harimau dan Kacang, as well as the tantalising seafood on ice section which includes fresh selections of mussels, tiger prawns, baby scallops and more. The carving station features succulent Kambing Golek, heartier favourites can be found at the main buffet area with dishes like Gulai Lemak Cili Padi Daging Salai, Assam Pedas and the signature Nipah Kari Laksa.

Kam Eat With Me – To mark the holy month of Ramadan, EQ’s Citarasa Nipah has a dizzying selection for our Buka Puasa buffet, extending the hospitality to include dishes from the neighbouring South-East Asian region too. Executive chef Hafizzul Hashim revealed his prowess at cooking up an amazing range that one would be hard-pressed to say ‘Can’t find what I like’. The buffet spread has a decidedly home feel to the dishes as you feel you’ve been invited to someone’s home rather than a commercial establishment.
